How to Replace a Blackjack LCD

    • 1). Power off your Samsung Blackjack and turn the unit over. Remove the battery door and lift the battery out of its compartment.

    • 2). Use your screwdriver to remove all six screws from the corners and sides of the back of the unit.

    • 3). Insert the tip of your case opener tool between the front and back halves of the Blackjack. Run it along the sides until the two halves separated.

    • 4). Unplug the orange ribbon cable that runs from the back half of the unit to the circuit board in the front half. Remove it from its port on the circuit board. Set the back half aside.

    • 5). Remove the two screws from the corners of the circuit board.

    • 6). Unplug the two ribbon cables where they connect at the sides of the circuit board.

    • 7). Lift the circuit board assembly out of the front frame of the Blackjack.

    • 8). Turn the circuit board over and lift the LCD screen up to reveal the screen cable. Unplug it from its port on the circuit board and set the old LCD aside.

    • 9). Fit a new LCD in its place and reverse the steps for reassembly.
