- 1). Begin your approach toward the wake from 20 feet away. Keep the handle in tight and close to your body. Stand up tall when you reach the wake, and then let off the edge just before you start the front roll.
- 2). Initiate the roll by throwing your head and shoulders down toward the middle of your board. Bend your knees and tuck your body. Avoid under-rotation by maintaining your tuck until the roll is nearly complete.
- 3). Release the handle from your rear hand as you complete the rotation. Spot your landing and let your knees absorb the impact.
