Make Your New Year's Resolutions a Success

The New Year brings optimism and many of us will traditionally make resolutions for positive changes in our life. It is a time to turn the page, not only on the calendar, but from our past to our future. It's a positive, optimistic time.

Most of those wishful resolutions usually end up in failure within 3 weeks. Our best intentions end up on the junk pile, maybe to be revived for next year. However, that doesn't have to happen to us and I'll tell you why.

Many of our resolutions center on our habits or behaviors. We may want to Quit Smoking, Lose Weight, or Stop other of our undesirable Habits like Nail Biting, Cheek Biting, etc.  and these are definitely good aspirations for us in our lives. They are positive changes. They will make us better.

However, we usually try to make these changes with Will Power.  While often thought of as what makes a strong person, Will power is usually misunderstood, overestimated and used for things it doesn't work well with. Habits are one of those things.

Will Power is like mental adrenaline and its' purpose is to give us a short-term blast of concentration and focus. When we are in difficult situations, it can make the difference between life and death for us. But it's only can last for a short time.

Hypnosis allows us to communicate with our Subconscious Mind, our Inner Mind, where our habits live. With Hypnosis we can get across to that Inner Mind that we want a change. Will Power just can't do that. When we get across our wishes, the change takes place. It's as simple as that. Normally, we can't get our wishes across to our Subconscious Mind, we have natural blocks in place. Hypnosis helps us to overcome those blocks so that we can tell our Inner Mind what we really want.
