5 Fat Loss Foods to Jump Start Your Weight Loss Program

If you're seeking to lose weight then chances are you're eating the wrong foods.
All around us the temptation is  strong to get by with junk foods and take away meals.
The first thing you have to do, then, is to resolve that from this day on you are going to change your eating habits and eat more fat loss foods.
It's easier than you may think, and I'm going to make it even easier for you by starting you off with these five delicious fat loss foods.
1 - Eggs This is a great, easy food to start off.
Until a few years ago it was thought that eggs were bad for you because they contain a high level of cholesterol.
But now it has been established the cholesterol in eggs does not significantly increase blood cholesterol in humans.
Eggs contain a lot of protein but are low in calories.
If you eat two a day you will go a long way towards satisfying all your dietary requirements.
And you can vary the way you eat them - boiled, poached, scrambled, or as an omelette.
And not only are they easy to prepare, they're cheap too.
2 - Oatmeal This is high in fiber and low in calories.
It's not only a great and delicious food to eat for losing weight, it's good for your heart as well, being low in cholesterol.
They are also very easy to prepare - usually you just mix with the right amount of water, stir and bring to a boil.
Why not start the day with oatmeal for breakfast? It's filling, so you won't need anything else until lunchtime.
This alone will help you shed some weight by reducing the temptation to eat in mid-morning.
And as your body burns more calories digesting fiber than it ingests from that fiber then eating oatmeal every day will itself single handedly cause you to lose weight.
3 - Potatoes Preferably boiled or baked, potatoes are one of the most nutritious foods, and are bursting with minerals, anti-oxidants, vitamins and starch.
There are many varieties of potato, and it pays to get to know some of them, as they differ greatly in taste.
Once you find one or two that you especially like it will make all the difference to the enjoyment of your meals.
Here in the UK a good salad potato is a "Charlotte".
Another one is the Maris Peer.
Other potatoes you may well like are "Rocket", "Maris Piper" and "Maris Bard".
Get to know what the various varieties are called where you live and find out your favorites.
I guarantee you'll enjoy eating them so much you'll never be tempted to go back to junk food.
4 - Green vegetables There's such a variety here - and they're all delicious and so nourishing.
Not only that, but all greens - sprouts, cabbage, spinach, broccoli, kohl rabi, beans (runner beans, broad beans and french beans especially), to name just a few, are full of vitamins, minerals, fiber and anti-oxidants, and low in calories.
And there are so many ways in which they can be cooked.
Beware of over-cooking, especially if you are boiling them.
5 - Fruit There's little to add here.
Fruits are so good, so natural, full of vitamins, fiber and anti-oxidants.
The acids in them actually help your body burn away unwanted fat in your digestive system.
And if you have trouble in giving up on "snacking" in between meals, fruit such as apples make a great  replacement for chocolate or candies.
They are just as filling, and of course contain no fatty substances found in nearly all snack foods.
Just remember to rinse fruit before you eat it, as many fruits have to be sprayed with pesticides during their growth, and while they are cleaned after harvesting it's never a bad idea to clean them once more.
This list doesn't include any meat or fish, but that doesn't mean they are to be excluded from your diet by any means.
Just try to avoid the fatty meats.
And one other thing - increase your intake of water.
You'd be surprised at how much your body needs just to shift all those fatty substances that are going to be removed from your body.
And water is perhaps the best diet "food" of all!
