CPR Instructor Training Courses
- The goal of the American Heart Association is to increase the chance of survival in cases of cardiac arrest and stroke by elevating public awareness and community leadership. This is accomplished by providing easy-to-locate CPR classes through CPR instructors living within communities. The American Heart Association offers Instructor Training courses throughout the year. The AHA requires instructor applicants to complete the Core Instructor Course as well as a discipline-specific instructor course in Basic Life Support (BLS), Heartsaver, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ALCS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to obtain certification. Visit the American Heart Association website to locate the training center in your area.
