Girl Battles Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir

In an exceptionally brave act, Ruksana Kausar of Jammu and Kashmir killed a terrorisr with his own weapon.
In this September 27th incident, the brave girl of 20 years snatched the assault rifle of an attacking terrorist and shot him dead.
She injured another one and the rest of the gang fled away with their lives.
This incident happened in Kalsian village, about 217 kilometers from Jammu.
The 6 Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists forcefully barged in Ruksana's home and tried to kidnap her.
They began with thrashing her parents and making them unconscious.
Seeing her parents lying on the floor, Ruksana  grabbed a terrorist by his hairs and pushed him into the wall before firing several round of bullets from the AK 47 carried by the rogue.
Ruksana's younger brother Aijaz Ahmed also attacked the attackers with an axe.
  She said that she thought her parents were dead and a divine force helped her to kill the terrorist and save her honour.
  Ruksana knew how to fire from an AK 47 rifle as she had earlier received a training from the village defense committee in this regard.
Ruksana's father Noor Hussein and Uncle Waqalat Hussein, injured in the terrorist attack are undergoing treatment at the government hospital in Rajouri.
The Gujjar community, to which the Kausar family belongs to , has proudly hailed their daughter and has demanderd that she be given the highest gallantry award of the country.
The community also demanded adequate police protection for the family.
The Home Minister of India, too hailed Ruksana's act of bravery.
Her act was described as the " rarest, unmatched and extraordinary act of courage of a fearless young Gujjar girl" Coincidentally this incident happened on the nights of Dussehra.
Dussehra is the tenth day of the Durga Puja celebration in India.
The goddess Durga is worshipped as the destroyer of demons.
