    DaPietro's Restaurant

    • Specializing in French and Northern Italian cuisine, DaPietro's has served Westport since July 1988. As of September 2010, the restaurant held "Zagat" ratings of "extraordinary to perfection" for its food and "good to excellent" for its service and decor. Four appetizers lead the lunch menu, such as the mozzarella caprese salad and the Prince Edward Island mussels in a white wine sauce with scallions, leeks, garlic and grape tomatoes. Among the lunch entrees are crab cakes, fettuccine bolognese, cheese tortellini and filet mignon topped with Gorgonzola cheese. Featuring 475 selections, the wine list is a past recipient of "Wine Spectator" magazine's "Best of Award of Excellence," the second highest award given by the publication. DaPietro's serves lunch Mondays through Fridays and dinner Mondays through Saturdays. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. Reservations are required and accepted online and by phone. Business casual attire is recommended.

    Blue Lemon

    • Located in Newport's Sconset Square, Blue Lemon opened for business in June 2003. The restaurant held "Zagat" ratings of "very good to excellent" for its food, decor and service as of September 2010. To start lunch, the restaurant serves six appetizers, such as the grilled squid in ginger and lime vinaigrette, yellow fin tuna tartar and beef carpaccio. A signature lunch entree is the Blue Lemon omelet, which contains mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes and sharp cheddar cheese. Another is the poached lobster, served with field greens, sweet corn, avocado, pancetta, grape tomatoes and gorgonzola in a lemon dressing. Blue Lemon serves lunch Mondays through Saturdays and dinner nightly. Reservations are suggested and arrangeable by phone. Casual attire is acceptable.
