Scalp Reduction As a Hair Loss Treatment

You've heard me say before that there are lots of treatments on the market ranging from pills to surgery.
If you're suffering from male pattern baldness then I'm sure you're desperate to find a solution.
Let's say you are completely bald on top but still have hair on the back and sides of your head and you want to go for a hair loss treatment.
What do you go for? Laser therapy is pointless.
Propecia and monoxidil will have no effect on you.
And a hair transplant will give you no where neat the desired effect.
So what's left? There is a procedure called Scalp Reduction.
For this treatment you need to be willing to part with a lot of money.
The entire procedure takes place over three separate operations.
It's not even a case of paying for one operations then waiting until you've saved up enough money for the second.
The three operations will be scheduled and you have to have them on the dates set.
So what does scalp reduction consist of? Well, it's a bit like a face lift.
The only difference is, it's a hair lift.
There is a strip of your scalp cut away and the sides pulled up and stitched or stapled into place.
Effectively, the hair from the sides of your head is stretched up toward the top of the scalp.
It can't be done in one operation because you have to give the skin time to relax and settle before stretching it some more.
Over the three operations you'll end up with hair on the top of your head.
the surgeon should include hair transplants which will involve hair being removed from the back of the head and implanted into the top.
It's an excellent procedure but expensive.
A friend of mine got it done and you can find a link to his site on mine.
He has pictures on his site showing his head before and after the procedure.
