Declutter Your Home - 7 Reasons to Motivate You!
"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful" - William Morris.
There are times we all wish to have a home, as beautiful as the ones you find in magazines.
And sometimes, we wish to have a magic broom to keep our homes spotless clean! Keeping clutter at bay is something which we all plan to do someday, but it never happens in the near future.
Here are a few reasons why, organizing things at home, might help you for the better.
More room for things: We hide things that we might not need away from our view in cupboards, in closets, in garages or even under the beds.
They keep accumulating, till one day, when you might not have space for your new purchases.
Then you would slowly trash the 'hidden things' which you had earlier felt that you might need it for later use.
And, have you ever used it? The answer would most probably be 'NO'.
Then why don't we simply reduce clutter earlier itself by not piling things up, and make way for the new more needed ones? Less time spent on Searching: We would never be able to find things, if you are looking for it in clutter.
Now that is something which we can all vouch for, right?.
We search for ages for our keys, our glasses, our medicines, important bills to be paid, and what not.
Sometimes things just magically disappear too.
All these could be avoided if we've a place for everything and if we make sure that things are in its right place.
Lesson for kids: Mostly, children learn from parents.
They may not be listening to us, but they do watch whatever we are doing.
If we clutter our homes, it is more likely that our kids would follow suit.
They would think it is normal! Instead, if we are organized, and include your kids too in tidying up, a habit is formed for them, for life! Joy of having Less:The more we have, the more time we would need to spend for tidying up; the less we have, the more comfortable we would feel at our own home.
So purchase less.
Make it a point not to buy things that we do not need, however attractive it would look.
S-a-l-e:Beware of SALE signs in stores, as that is where we deceive ourselves the most! We purchase tons of things at a Sale thinking it is very cheap, but most of the times, we might not even need it, and ends up unused! More hygienic: Often we feel so much better, when we eat in a restaurant which is spotless clean.
But what about our homes, where we spend most of our time, every single day? Dirty unwashed dishes, unattended laundry, house dust, unchanged bed clothes, all breed germs.
We all know that right? Still we do not feel anxious,we feel our home is germ-free.
Yes, it would be, if you act now! Feel Good Factor: Give away, rather than throw away.
There is always a feel good factor involved when you give things to others.
So many people might want the things that u haven't used at all.
Donate them.
If you have a huge home with a lot of kids, this task might be quite daunting; as taking care of kids, cleaning, cooking e.
t.
c would consume a lot of time.
But surely you can take one step at a time? Having a lot of junk at home, is absolutely not cool.
It is stressful, it is unsightly, untidy, and it could even clutter your life.
