How to Decorate a Mantle With a Mini Pumpkin Theme
- 1). Cut out a small circle of tin foil for each pumpkin. This will keep the pumpkin from "bleeding" on your mantle as it gets older. While gourds and pumpkins can last a long time, they may seep a little moisture as they age. The tin foil will protect the finish on your furniture from this moisture.

Fall colored silk leaves are a great way to accent the pumpkins whether you add lights or not. You might also consider artificial berry vines.
Wind the lights and leaves together. You can twist them together or wrap them, but either way they should form a single strand. This will prevent the lights and wiring from taking over the display while still enabling you to enjoy a gentle glow from underneath the leaves. - 3). Set the pumpkins out on the mantle. You can space them as you wish. Some people prefer to set them in a straight line, while others like more random designs.
- 4). Wind the lighted garland in and out of the pumpkins. You may also wish to consider draping it if you do not use your fireplace in the fall. Be sure that you do not obscure the pumpkins with the leaves and lights. You may need to place the pumpkins on top of some of the leaves to prevent the mini pumpkin from being covered.
- 5). Enjoy your seasonal mantle decor. When the evenings get cool and the skies darken earlier, take a few minutes to relax and enjoy the warmth and comfort of your cozy home and your pretty mini pumpkin mantle.
