There are different options when choosing the right chicken coop design.
If you're a novice and just want a few chickens for eggs for you and your family, to the person that is into breeding and raising chickens.
The movable coop is great if you are just starting out and just want a few chickens.
It's a very simple plan, a three-sided prism that is covered with mesh.
It's very portable and can be moved from different locations.
It's also very easy to clean and keep cleaned.
It is recommended for no more then three chickens.
It's a great starter and its great for the kids to get involved with gathering the eggs and having hands on with the chickens.
The medium sized coop is great if you are thinking of getting into the business of raising chickens.
This coop is taller and has more space.
It has room for multiple perches and running space for the chickens.
This will create a yield of more eggs.
These coops are very easy to build and tend to be a box style.
The large coop is designed more for people that are serious of getting into breeding and raising chickens for a living.
This requires a lot more space but the advantages are great.
This gives more freedom to the chickens to run around.
The large coop has much more perches and nesting areas.
The inside and the outside areas are much larger to accommodate many chickens.
A good tip for your chicken coops is to slant the floor slightly towards the door so the water will run off and won't stay in the coop and stagnate.
Also placing the door and windows facing south will ensure natural sunlight to flow through the windows and doors.
