The Blackberry Bold Touch and the Playbook - Redefining RIM"s Mobile Devices

Technology is ever evolving.
We see more powerful hardware and the latest software in devices that have been released in the market by the completion.
This is why RIM had to follow suit.
Thankfully, RIM announced two new devices that redefine their mobile devices.
These are the Blackberry Bold Touch and the Playbook.
Playbook The BB Playbook is the first ever tablet by RIM.
It is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor.
This will allow the slate to compete with other dual-core-powered tablets such as Apple's iPad 2 and Motorola's Xoom.
With this much processing power, performance will never be an issue.
It is ideal for multi-tasking and running complicated tasks such as video conferencing.
RIM's tablet comes with a 7 inch display, compared to the iPad's 9.
7 inches and the Xoom's 10.
1 inches.
You may think that the BB tablet falls short in features.
However, it comes with a feature that none of the tablets have to offer.
The Blackberry Playbook comes with a flexible application ecosystem.
This allows that slate to run apps from the BB App World as well as apps from Google's Android Market.
The tablet can run at least version 2.
2 (Froyo) apps.
If you are thinking that these apps will take ages to be ported to the App World, think again.
It doesn't take long for approval and porting to take place.
Furthermore, apps such as BB Chat and touch email are available on the app offering that business folk have been looking for.
Bold Touch The Blackberry Bold Touch is an improved RIM handset compared to their previous version of the Bold.
If you look at both handsets, you might notice that there aren't that many changes to the design.
The new smartphone comes with the same physical full QWERTY keyboard on its predecessor.
However, it's under the hood that counts.
The up and coming smartphone comes with a 1.
2 GHz processor compared to a 624 MHz processor offered by its predecessor.
With almost twice as much performing power, business folk will enjoy more from multi-tasking and executing requirement-demanding tasks such as media players, games, and video chat.
The previous version ran on the Blackberry OS 6.
This current version runs on the Blackberry OS 7.
With an updated version of this reliable mobile operating system, you are sure to enjoy more from multi-tasking, work-related applications, BB applications, tools, tabbed browsing, and social feed integration.
Evolution is vital to success in the mobile device industry.
This is exactly what RIM plans to accomplish with the Blackberry Bold Touch and the Playbook.
