How to Replace the Thermal Fuse on an Amana Gas Dryer

- 1). Disconnect the power cord.
- 2). Remove the two screws along the bottom of the lower front panel.
- 3). Lift the bottom of the lower front panel away from the Amana dryer to unhook it from the cabinet. Set the panel aside.
- 4). Unplug the wires connecting the thermal fuse to the heating assembly in the left rear area of the dryer cabinet.
- 5). Remove the screws holding the thermal fuse in place and remove the fuse.
- 6). Position the new thermal fuse inside the Amana gas dryer. Install the screws that hold it in place. Plug the wires into their sockets.
- 7). Replace the lower front panel. Install the screws that secure the panel to the dryer cabinet.
