Eudocia

Definition: The Empress Eudocia lived from about A.D. 400-460. She married the Emperor Theodosius II and became a Christian in 421. About twenty years later they separated and she settled in Jerusalem where she established the church of Siloam. Eudocia was a philosopher and poet who wrote an 800-line poem on St. Cyprian, as well as many other poems.
