- 1). Download DirectVobSub from Free-Codecs.com. If you are using Windows 7, download the 64-bit version of DirectVobSub.
- 2). Right-click the downloaded ZIP file and click "Extract All."
- 3). Double-click the executable setup file inside the extracted folder and follow the on-screen instructions to install DirectVobSub.
- 4). Copy the SRT file into the AVI video folder.
- 5). Change the name of the SRT file to the name of the AVI file.
- 6). Open the video in Windows Media Player by double-clicking the AVI file.
- 7). Click the "Pause" button.
- 8). Press the Ctrl, Shift and C keys together to insert SRT subtitles into the video.
- 9). Press the "Play" button to play the video.
