Women"s Auto Insurance - Is it Going to Stay Cheaper Than Men"s?

When someone decides that it is time to purchase auto insurance you can see that dread look overcome their whole face.
Throughout all the years, the women and automobile relationship has changed dramatically.
Some time ago most women did not know how to drive unless they absolutely had to.
During that time women did not learn to drive until they was in their thirties or forties, if they even learned at all.
As with everything times change, higher numbers or women learned to drive at younger ages.
Today, teenage girls are just as likely as teenage boys to take a drivers education course and get their license.
As of today, teenage female drivers, just like male drivers, must pay a youth surcharge for auto insurance coverage until they reach the age of 25.
However, this surcharge is not near as high for females as it is males.
The reason for this is because young women drivers are less likely to be involved in car accidents then males.
Female drivers are also less likely to be caught speeding or to be involved in other situations causing insurance claims or rate adjustments.
Young women are on average more likely to pay less for auto insurance premiums.
The reason for lower rates is simply because of statistics that women are safer drivers then men, and this discrepancy is no more apparent at any age group then it is in younger drivers age 25 and less.
Another reason the statistics show women insurance are cheaper is because men drive more miles then women.
This gives men more opportunities to be involved in car accidents, get pulled over for speeding, or any other traffic infractions.
Another statistic shows the accidents that women are involved in are less several then the ones men are involved in.
All of this again is based on average statistical information, and every driver is different.
There is no way of being able to predict how safe a driver is going to be based on gender or age.
After looking at all of the controversy that is going on about discrimination; women you better enjoy the lower auto insurance while you can.
The reason for the rates on women to go up is because more women are entering the workforce more, which in turn means that women are on the road more then before; they are driving more miles which means they are more likely to be involved in a car accident.
Another reason for the premium rates to go up is the governmental intervention.
Certain governmental officials and legislators on both state and federal level are questioning the existing auto insurance pricing procedures as being discriminatory.
Even with the statistic evidence the political figures feel the males are being victims of gender discrimination.
So like I said before women enjoy the premium rates while you can.
