Build Muscle in the Privacy of Your Own Home

Is it possible to actually build muscle and get in shape at home or do you need a gym membership to get into good physical shape? Can you lose weight at home with no expensive equipment or do you have to invest in expensive home gym equipment to lose body fat? I am here to tell you that it is possible to get in the best shape of your life without spending a penny on a gym membership or expensive home exercise equipment.
In my article, we are going to focus on building muscle and losing body fat at home.
You will not need any fancy equipment to follow the advice in this article.
You will not need to go on a starvation diet to see results with the advice given below.
All that you need to achieve results is a willingness to exercise.
Building muscle and losing weight in the privacy of your home has many benefits over going to the gym.
For one, it does not matter how out of shape you are, you will not be embarrassed by working out at home, like being the most out of shape person at the gym can be.
Doing a workout program at home lets you workout at your convenience, you don't have to avoid the busy periods at the gym to get a good workout in.
The biggest complaint that I hear about gym memberships is that they are expensive.
Depending upon where you live, monthly gym memberships can cost anywhere from $40 to $80 a month.
Don't you have better things to do with your money than renting fancy gym equipment that is not really needed to get in shape? I for one do.
To get in shape at home, you only need a few basic pieces of equipment.
I recommend a basic barbells, dumbbells, resistance bands and place to be able to pull-ups if you can afford it.
The weights however are not really needed; you can always just focus on bodyweight exercise movements that do not require weights like push-ups, squats, and pull-ups.
When working out at home you will want to concentrate on the major muscle groups like the chest, back and legs.
Train these muscles with compound weightlifting movements, like bench presses, bent-over rows, and squats.
These exercises will target the major muscle groups in the body.
The main benefit of these compound movements is that the smaller muscle groups in the body like the biceps will get indirect work and they will not have to be worked out separately.
A total body workout that can be done at home, must also incorporate some form of cardiovascular exercise.
Cardiovascular exercise main benefit is burning calories, this means losing body fat can be accomplished faster.
My two favorite exercises for weight loss is running and biking, If you do not have a bike, then I suggest just getting out and going for a run every other day and try to increase the distance run as you get in better shape.
