How to Get Rid of the Redness in Your Bloodshot Eyes Naturally, and Without Eye Drops

When people go to a supermarket or pharmacy, there are a plethora of eye drops that claim to help stop red eyes.
And more often than not it can get confusing.
But is it possible to prevent red eyes or work out how to get brighter eyes without using these so-called helpful drops? Yes, there is and the best part is it's totally natural.
The sclera, or the "white part of the eye" should actually be white.
If it's not white, then this may be due to a nutritional deficiency, an eye infection, tired eyes, itchy eyes, an eye irritation, stress, being exposed to cigarette smoke, alcohol consumption or even simply a lack of sleep, for example.
As a result, people oftentimes then feel self-conscious about having bloodshot eyes.
That's when certain companies have taken advantage of this problem and produced drops to clear people's red eyes.
However, what chemicals are in these products and are there possible long term damaging effects on the eyes? Depending on the eye drop brands, some of the active ingredients could include tetrahydrozoline, naphazoline or oxymetazoline.
The warnings indicate that the eye drops shouldn't be swallowed as it could cause blurred vision, eye irritations, difficulty breathing, nausea, diarrhea and even coma.
But even if a person hasn't swallowed eye drops, because they are putting it in their eyes, the drops and resulting chemicals are still going into the body.
Therefore, in many cases those eye drops to supposedly get rid of red eyes can do more harm than good.
They might initially make the redness go away but when the redness comes back it is usually worse.
So the more someone uses the product to get rid of the redness the worse it will be in the long run.
This is because they'll need to use more and more of the product to continually clear the redness from their eyes.
This is done with intention to keep people using the product.
But instead of opting for drops to clear bloodshot eyes, there is a healthier and natural alternative.
It's simple - stop using the drops for between 1 to 2 weeks.
Over time the eye redness will go away naturally and the need for chemical infused drops will no longer be required.
In the long run people's eyes will be healthier by implementing natural remedies.
And the other bonus is people will save money.
