Toro 1100 Trimmer Directions
- 1). Form a loop in the female end of the extension cord. Push the loop into the hole in the back of the trimmer throttle handle. Pull the loop into the handle and insert the end of the extension cord back through the loop, forming a single knot.
- 2). Pull the other end of the extension cord to take out the slack. Connect the female end of the extension cord to the male end of the trimmer's plug. Put on all of your safety equipment.
- 3). Inspect the area to be trimmed for metal, rocks and other debris that could damage the trimmer or harm you. Position the extension cord to the side of the trimming area so it won't get in the way of the head.
- 4). Move the head into position and press the trigger to start the head. Hold the trimmer head parallel to the ground, and move it across the area to be trimmed. Cut tall grasses --- those 8 inches tall or more --- from the top down. Cut with only the tip of the line and work from right to left so the grass is thrown away from you.
- 5). Tap the head against the ground while it is spinning to advance more cutting line after it breaks off. Tap the head only once to prevent wasting the line.
- 6). Unplug the electrical extension cord from the trimmer's plug when you are finished cutting. Wipe the outside of the trimmer with a rag. Inspect the unit for any damage as you're wiping it off.
