How to Get Your Lawn Cut Automatically
If you find lawn mowing a job you could well do without why not try using an automatic lawnmower? This machine cuts the lawn automatically while you get on with something else - even if it is just sitting in a deckchair watching this amazing little lawn mower at work.
The robotic mower is a hard worker, cutting your lawn whenever you have told it to.
There are many models to choose from depending on the size of your lawn.
For instance, let's say your lawn is about three quarters of an acre in total, divided into 4 different areas: you would need one of the middle sized automatic lawnmowers.
A perimeter wire would be laid on the lawn to confine the mower to the area you want cut.
This can be done by yourself and it will quickly grow into the grass and become invisible, but it is preferable to get a trained technician who has a specially made machine, to come and insert the cable into the lawn for you.
The automatic lawn mower has a computer which you would initially programme to a) cut the 4 lawns and b) cut at a time chosen by you.
It could even be during the night as these robots (unlike Daleks!) are silent.
Once programmed and the electrics for the mower are set up at the charging station (which is covered by a 'house'), the automatic lawn mower will, on its own, come out of its house at the appointed time and begin cutting the lawn in a random manner.
If it meets an extra long patch of grass it will automatically go round that area in a circle until it is cut.
After 3 to 4 hours when the lithium battery is getting low, this robotic mower knows it's time for home.
It will find the nearest wire and follow that back into its house on the charging station.
Providing it is within its working hours, programmed in by you, once charged it will come out and begin work all over again.
Not only does all this mean that you never have to worry about "cutting the lawn before it rains" but you will also never have to use fertiliser again.
This is because the mower automatically cuts off such a small amount of grass each time that it is invisible and falls through the grass to provide nutrients for the lawn.
As you may imagine this also means that there will never be heavy grass boxes full of lawn clippings to dispose of - no more rotting grass heaps encroaching where they are not welcome.
The Automatic lawnmower is a Godsend to many people - those who are lazy, those who are frail and incapable of mowing with a petrol mower and thinking of maybe having to move and downsize the garden, and to those who feel they have better things to do with their precious time.
The world of robots is expanding and the latest for us gardeners is the automatic lawnmower.
