Review of WWE: Wreckless Intent
About.com Rating
Wrestling albums fall into one of three categories. They are either songs sung by the wrestlers, compilations of theme songs, or interpretations of wrestling theme songs by current artists. This album falls into the third category. It features current rock and hip hop stars doing interpretations of famous wrestler's current theme songs.
For the past two decades, Jim Johnston has been the writer of most of the music you hear in the WWE.
Most of the songs on this album were been written by Jim. The only songs he didn't write were the P.O.D and Homebwoi songs.
Many of the songs on this album have been heard for a few years. It is interesting to hear these songs interpreted differently after being used to hearing other versions of them. Some of the songs on the album are now being used by the wrestlers as their new theme songs.
Overall Recommendation:
If you like these songs (most of which have been heard on TV) or these bands then you will enjoy this album. If you are not a fan of rock, hip hop or wrestlers theme music then you will hate this album.
