How to Repair the Internet Explorer Browser

    • 1). Access your computer's Control Panel, where you can customize most hardware and software settings for your computer, including browser and actual web surfing preferences.

    • 2). Locate the "Internet Options" folder from the control panel and open it. If it is difficult to locate, choose the classic view from the left-side panel. In this view, the "Internet Options" folder is near the top-right corner of the selection of icons.

    • 3). Expand the "Advanced" tab from the top of the window; it is not generally selected initially.

    • 4). Find the "Reset Internet Explorer settings" option past the list of settings for your browser and click "Reset." Click "Reset" again on the window that pops up.
