How to Add on Awning to a Trailer
- 1). Screw in the upper awning brackets directly beneath the awning rail at each end of the rail. Screw in the lower pair of brackets roughly 50 inches below the rail and directly below the upper brackets.
- 2). Spread out the awning and slide the awning bar into the narrow sleeve. Roll up the awning and tie the existing straps to secure. Zip the awning bag closed.
- 3). Slide the vinyl welt of the awning bag into the awning rail. This is easier with two adults.
- 4). Mount the awning bag to the trailer using a #6 by 1/2-inch drill point screw at the end of the awning rail. Drill through both the rail and welt. Repeat for the other end of the awning.
