How to Decorate Your Door for Halloween
- 1). Hang a large skeleton from the door. Skeletons are one the symbols of Halloween. Drape the door with black fabric. Fasten a bag of connected bones to the door and on top of the fabric with tape.
- 2). Place a ghoulish wreath on the front door. Purchase a wreath of dead flowers or traditional Halloween candies such as candy corn and hang it on the door. If you don't like the choices offered in stores, make one of your own at home. Use a wreath form. Purchase the items you'd like to place on the wreath, such as weathered artificial flowers or large wrapped chocolates. The flowers can be attached to the wreath form with glue. Wrap orange and black ribbons around the wreath form to create a finished look. Candy can be attached to the wreath form with glue or sewn directly onto the backing with strong yarn.

Pumpkin
Hang a row of carved jack-o'-lanterns on the door. Jack-o'-lanterns are hollowed out pumpkins. The front of the pumpkin is carved to resemble a face. Candles are placed inside the pumpkin to light it up. Hang a row of shelves over the door. Place a carved pumpkin on each shelf. Alternate between small pumpkins and larger ones. - 4
Spider web
Place large spider webs on the door. Spiders are another traditional symbol of Halloween. A spider's web can be created by knotting together string in a web pattern. Spider webs can also be purchased from a store. Secure them to the door with tape. Purchase small rubber spiders. Tape the spiders to the door with two-sided tape. Scatter them in the middle of the web and at each end.
