Important Info

• Unlike some asthma medications, Foradil is not used to relieve asthma attacks but to prevent them. A separate medication or inhaler is necessary to relieve the symptoms of an asthma attack as it occurs.
  
  

Usage

• Foradil Aerolizer inhalers are different than most other inhaler medications in that the medication is not located within the inhaler itself, but in capsules that are inserted into the well of the Aerolizer. The inhaler pierces the capsule and the medicine is inhaled.
  
  

Side Effects

• As with any medication, side effects may occur while using Foradil, such as abdominal pain, back pain and dry mouth. Contact your doctor if these side effects do not go away or change in intensity.
  
  

Precautions

• Foradil is to be used twice daily, and excessive usage may cause heart irregularities. Patients with heart disorders or high blood pressure should speak with their doctor before using this medication.
  
  

Drug Interactions

• Certain other drugs may interact with Foradil, possibly changing the effectiveness of the medication. These include antidepressants, beta blockers and water pills.
