Tips On Camping

Camping is one of the most enjoyable pastimes in the summer.
People have always been fond of the great outdoors and love to go trekking and camping during this beautiful time of the year.
I remember travelling to India and trekking and camping in the southern part of the country.
This was a memorable experience as it was very enjoyable camping in the hills of Coorg in the sate of Karnataka.
You need to understand your requirements before you buy yourself a tent or camping equipment.
There are many different types of tents you buy these days.
If you are going to be backpacking alone through a country you don't want to be carrying a big bulky tent along with you.
That's just extra baggage.
In this case you could opt for a small tent which you could store in your backpack.
If you're travelling as a group you probably would need a bigger tent.
You can now buy a wide variety of tents and camping equipment online.
You can buy accessories, tents, camping fridges, individual camping nails and sticks, sleeping bags and tent accessories.
There are a number of designs and styles you can choose from based on your needs.
I personally feel the most comfortable are modified domes as they are the most spacious.
You also have spacious options like tunnel tents and umbrella domes.
Another commonly used design is pyramid tents.
You can buy a color of your choice but this is only if you want to blend in with the surroundings.
There are tents which are the exact color of rainforests and some which come in the color of snow.
The materials these tents are made of are very strong.
They are built to be very durable and last long.
The most standard are made out of canvas but companies add materials and compounds to this to make it weather resistant.
I am now going to discuss the kinds of tents you can choose from for your personal or family use.
Frame Tents - These tents are large.
They are very high and allow you to stand up right in them.
They often include living space with compartments and bedrooms.
They also come with a kitchen and cooking apparatus.
Ridge Tents - These tents are supported by a horizontal pole which is held up by two vertical poles.
These are not very sturdy and are not very widely used.
Dome Tents - These tents are light weight and ideal for back packers.
These are supported by lightweight flexible poles which are fit through sleeves that are built into the tent's material.
Touring tents - These are similar to frame tents but have a porch area.
Hoop tents - These are one man tents which combine the designs of both ridge and dome tents.
These make an ideal one man tent.
You can find all of these tents in various colors and designs online.
So do your research online and get your self your own soon.
