How to Stop Antivirus 2009 Processes
- 1). Click the Windows "Start" menu, right-click "My Computer" and click "Properties" to launch the System Properties dialog box. Click the "System Restore" tab and click the "Turn off system restore on all drives" check-box. Click "Apply," click "Yes" and click "OK" to disable System Restore before stopping the Antivirus2009 process.
- 2). Launch the task manager by pressing "Ctrl," "Alt," and "Delete" together. Click the "Processes" tab. Scroll down and click "Av2009.exe." Click "End Process" to stop this process. Close the task manager.
- 3). Launch your antivirus program and install the latest updates by clicking "Update." Refer to your programs documentation if you are unsure how to install the latest updates. Once updated, run a full system scan and delete any additional Antivirus2009 processes and files.
- 4). Launch the registry by clicking the Windows "Start" menu, clicking "Run," typing "regedit" (without quotes) in the open box and pressing "Enter."
- 5). Click the "HKEY_USERS" folder, click the "S-1-5-21-1172441840-534431857-1906119351-500" folder, click the "Software" folder, click the "Microsoft" folder, click the "Windows" folder, click the "CurrentVersion" folder, and then click the "Run" folder. Right-click "[32 RANDOM NUMBERS]" = "C:\Program Files\Antivirus 2009\av2009.exe" and click "Delete."
- 6). Click the "HKEY_CURRENT_USERS" folder and click the "Software" folder. Right-click "[32 RANDOM NUMBERS]" and click "Delete." Close the registry.
- 7). Re-enable System Restore from the System Properties dialog box.
