- 1). Find the weight of your object in pounds. Try to be as precise with your weight measurement as possible to avoid a high calculation error.
- 2). Multiply the number of pounds by 453.6, since 1 lb. is equivalent to 453.6 grams. For example, a 10 pound object would be equivalent to 4,536 grams (10 x 453.6 = 4,536).
- 3). Double check your answer using an online conversion site such as onlineconversion.com or metric-conversions.org. Simply type the weight in pounds and press the "Go" or "Convert" button to find your answer in grams.
