How to Sign Up for AOL on the Internet
- 1). Visit the AOL service page (see Resources). Choose which type of service you would like to sign up for. AOL offers dial-up Internet and high-speed Internet. After selecting your connection, select your monthly package based on the price and features listed.
- 2). Enter your name, address, telephone number and email address. Read over the information to make sure it's correct and then scroll down and click "Continue."
- 3). Create a custom AOL user name and password. Re-enter the password for verification and then click "Continue."
- 4). Secure your AOL membership by entering your payment information. You'll need a valid credit card or bank account. Read over the terms and conditions and complete the prompts to pay for your membership.
- 5). Follow the prompts to download the AOL software to your computer. Once it's downloaded, run the program to set up and customize your AOL.
