How to Replace an Ignition Key Cylinder

    • 1). Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "II" position.

    • 2). Push the pin into the pin slot underneath the ignition cylinder.

    • 3). Apply upward pressure on the pin to push the cylinder retainer lock up.

    • 4). Pull the ignition cylinder out of the steering column with the key.

    • 5). Insert a new ignition cylinder with the key turned to the "II" position. Push the cylinder all the way in until the cylinder clicks into position.

    • 6). Turn the ignition key to the "I" position.
