How to Fix a "Rock Band" Drum Set for the Wii When There Are Blue Flashing Lights
- 1). Plug in the wireless receiver, also known as a dongle, that came with the bundle. The receiver is square and small, fitting in the palm of your hand, and it is made of a white plastic. The Nintendo Wii has two USB ports on its back side in which you can insert the dongle. When plugged in properly, the dongle will repeatedly flash a blue light.
- 2). Push the power button on the Nintendo Wii to turn it on. Let it load to the splash page.
- 3). Push the drum symbol located on the drum set. This is the instrument's power button, and it will repeatedly flash a blue circle of light around the button when powered on. Because the Nintendo Wii does not automatically pair new devices, you must manually sync the instrument to the console via the dongle.
- 4). Press the tiny white button on the dongle. just above the flashing light bulb. This begins the first part of the syncing process.
- 5). Press the power button on the drums once again, indicating you want to sync that particular instrument with your console. Wait a few seconds for the syncing to complete. When the instrument is properly synced, both previously flashing lights will remain solid while the two remain connected.
- 6). Press the power button on the drums again if you leave them powered on but idle. When idle, the drums will drop connection and begin flashing their light until you either push the button or turn off the console.
