The Many Uses Of Polyurethane Foams

The versatility of polyurethane foam makes it suitable for an extensive range of insulation applications. Up to 1,5 million tonnes of rigid foam is used each year in products for residential housing, retail stores, commercial offices, factories, warehouses, power stations, cold stores, food processing plants, telecom shelters and public institutions such as schools and hospitals. Foam insulation sprayed or placed in wall and floor cavities both insulates and offers some degree of soundproofing.

There are several ways to incorporate foam insulation in concrete or masonry walls: pouring loose foam beads into masonry blocks; injecting/ pouring liquid foam into the hollow block cores; manufacturing concrete blocks to accommodate rigid foam inserts; as lightweight concrete blocks that have polystyrene beads in the concrete mixture; and as rigid foam insulation inside a cast-in-place wall. There are also interlocking rigid foam panels and blocks that serve as permanent forms for concrete walls and foundations. These are commonly known as Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF's.)

Reticulated Polyurethane Foam:

reticulated polyurethane foam has been a workhorse for a range of medical tasks because of its good tensile and elongation properties. It is tear resistant and thus, allows fabricating it into almost any configuration by shaping, stitching, cementing, and other techniques. This type of foam works well in medical devices because it can carry additives that improve its antimicrobial performance.

Reticulated foam filters with fine pores are used in nebulizers, ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and air compressors as a moisture evaporative medium and filter. Compressed reticulated-foam felt has smaller pore sizes for finer filtration.

Reticulated foam protect surgical instruments several ways. Before steam sterilization, each instrument is individually placed in a reticulated-foam bag which lets steam penetrate while preventing instruments from contacting each other. In addition, the hydrophobic foam wicks liquids away from the instruments.

Laminated Foam:

This is a product of laminating roll foam with fabrics or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for various industrial usage, including car seat covers, headlining, door trim, shoes, golf bags, racket covers and mattresses. The flame laminated foam manufactured by us is fire-retardant with water resistant bonding.

The laminated products suitable for the following industries:

* Automotive industry vehicle seat covers , Door Trim & Headlining

* Sports industry golf bags, racket covers and other related products

* Footwear Ladies and Baby shoes
