Planning a party for teenage boys can take a lot of energy and thought. Working with a limited party space can make the preparations even more difficult, especially when it comes to planning games. Luckily, you have many options to choose from in terms of games and activities you can play in a more confined area. - Play this party game from the website Divine Dinner Party to break the ice in a limited party area. Before the party, come up with odd phrases sure to stand out from bits of normal conversation. For example, phrases like "Have you ever seen a bear juggle raw cabbage?" or "Did you ever eat a raspberry upside down?" work well. Write each of these phrases on separate slips of paper. Set the birthday table so every seat has a plate in front of it. Place a paper under every plate. After everyone sits down, tell them to look at their papers. Then, start a conversation. The players all have to say their phrases during the conversation without anyone noticing. Players can accuse others of using their phrases, but if they are incorrect, they lose their positions in the game. The players to use their phrases without getting caught win prizes.
- Use up all of those birthday balloons around the party space by playing this game. Begin by pairing off all of the players. Tell each pair to stand with their backs to each other. Place a balloon in between each of the pair's backs. When you say "Go," the partners all press their backs together to pop the balloons. The first pair to pop its balloon wins the game. To make the game more challenging, give each pair a set of five balloons. They have to pop one balloon at a time until they have popped all five. The first pair to do this wins the game.
- To play this game, all you need is a room. Pick two players to leave the room; one becomes the "Tour Guide" and the other becomes the "Tourist." The rest of the players all move to a different spot in the room, according to the Party Game Central website. While they do this, the tour guide and the tourist count to 20. After the 20 seconds, the players turn off the lights and the tour guide and tourist enter the room. Using a flashlight, the tourist and tour guide walk around, talking about the "statues" they see. The players all have to remain as still as possible even as the tourist and tour guide try to make them laugh and move in the process. Players can move if the tour guide and tourist cannot see them, however. Any player caught moving gets disqualified from the game. The last statue remaining wins the game.
