Rival 22-Qt Roaster Oven Instructions

    • 1). Wash your Rival 22-Qt. Roaster Oven lid, roasting pan and rack in hot, soapy water before using. Rinse the pieces thoroughly under hot running water to remove any residue. Air or towel dry. Clean the roaster oven body with a warm, soapy cloth. Wipe with a damp cloth and then air or towel dry.

    • 2). Insert the roasting pan into the oven's body. Place the lid onto the unit.

    • 3). Turn the "Temperature Control" dial to "Off," and plug in the appliance. Set the dial to the temperature needed to properly cook your food. Wait for the oven to preheat--typically between 15 and 20 minutes.

    • 4). Remove the lid when the light turns off. Lay the roasting rack inside the pan and place the food that you want to cook on the rack or place the food directly into the pan. Cover with the lid.

    • 5). Wait for your food to cook for the period of time outlined in your recipe. Check the food intermittently with a food thermometer to determine if it needs more or less time to cook.

    • 6). Return the "Temperature Control" dial to the "Off" position when your food has finished cooking. Unplug the oven and remove the lid.

    • 7). Serve or store the food as desired.
