Action Replay Instructions for DS

    Preparation

    • Your Action Replay device should have come with an installation CD for your home computer. This CD contains the code manager program for Windows operating systems. If you wish to use the code manager program for your device, you will want to install the program before attempting to use the Action Replay. The code manager can help you keep track of new codes for your games and allows you to easily copy and paste lengthy codes found on the web directly to your device. It also allows you to easily upgrade the software on the device.
To install the program, simply insert the CD into your computer's CD drive and wait for the auto-run installation program to begin. Follow the on-screen steps, and install the program to your hard drive. You'll want to plug your Action Peplay device into an unused USB port after installing the program.
Once you've plugged in your Action Replay, run the code manager. Click on the DS-Cartridge icon on the top right corner of the screen. This will perform a software upgrade check to see if there are any available upgrades to the action replay software. If any new updates are found, it will automatically install them for you.

    Updating and Adding Codes

    • Once the software upgrade is complete, you'll be able to add custom codelists directly to your Pro Action Replay code database. To add new games, drag and drop them from the list titled "My Subscriptions" on the right hand side of the program window. These code lists are pulled directly from the codejunkies website, and feature the most recent official codes for all games listed.
If you wish to add new codes to games which are already saved in the Action Replay database, simply right-click within the window titled "My Codelists" and select "add new codes." This menu can also be used to delete or modify existing game cheat folders and to add new game listings and folders to the card. Once you have completed all the changes you wish to make, save your changes and exit the program. Remove the Action Replay device from your USB port and insert it into the GBA slot of your Nintendo DS. It is now ready to be used.
