How to Make Different Table Decorations for Weddings
- 1). Gather photos of the two of you together along with photos of you as children, with your families and with your bridal party. Type up a small caption card to go with each photo explaining who is in it and when it was taken.
- 2). Buy a silver picture frame for each photo. Decorating your own frames gives a more colorful display. Paint wooden picture frames or glue on ribbons and buttons.
- 3). Place one photo and its caption in each frame. Cluster them together to use as centerpieces. Arrange a few on the gift table and guest book table so guests can see some of the highlights of your lives.
- 1). Buy plain terracotta pots and saucers from a garden store. Buy one large pot for each table or two or three smaller pots for each.
- 2). Use a foam paintbrush to cover the outside of each pot with acrylic paint. Paint the inside lip of each pot and its saucer. Let the paint dry completely.
- 3). Cover each pot with a second layer of paint. Let it dry. If you wish, paint patterns or words onto the pots in another shade of paint.
- 4). Buy large containers of flowers or fragrant herbs. Replant the blooms into the pots a few days before the wedding. Keep them watered until the reception.
- 1). Buy clear glass candle holders. Buy a half dozen smaller votive holders for each table or a few larger containers for pillar candles for each table. Choose containers that have flat, straight sizes.
- 2). Buy white lace from a craft store. Choose pieces of lace that are the same height or taller than your candle holders.
- 3). Spray the lace with lace stiffener, available in fabric or craft stores. Let the lace pieces dry.
- 4). Wrap a piece of lace around each container. Trim off any excess lace. Use a hot glue gun to glue the ends of the lace together.
- 5). Place one white candle inside each container. When the candles are lit, the light will illuminate the pattern of the lace.
