How to Call India From the U.S.

1). Dial the U.S. exit code of "011" into your phone. You must dial this exit number to place an international call to India from the United States.
2). Enter "91" into your phone. This is India's country code.
3). Punch in the 10-digit phone number in India you wish to call from the United States. If you are calling a landline, it may have an area code that begins with a zero. Omit the zero and dial the 10 remaining digits.
4). Wait for the phone to ring and someone on the end of the line to answer your call so you can proceed with your conversation.
