How to Set a Color Scroll Bar Slider in Firefox Under Linux

    • 1). Go to "Applications," then point to "Accessories." Click "Terminal."

    • 2). Type "sudo apt-get install gnome-color-chooser" into the command-line application.

    • 3). Press "Enter." Input your password when prompted, then press "Enter" again to begin unpacking the setup files.

    • 4). Press "Y" when prompted, then press "Enter" to finish installing GNOME Color Chooser to Linux. Close Terminal when the install is complete.

    • 5). Click "System." Point to "Preferences." Click "GNOME Color Chooser."

    • 6). Open Mozilla Firefox from the taskbar or from the "Internet" menu under "Applications."

    • 7). Go to the "Specific" tab in GNOME Color Chooser. Click the color swatch for "Normal." Select a color from the color wheel, then click "OK."

    • 8). Repeat the same steps for "Hover" and "Button Pressed." Check the boxes next to each item, then click "Apply" to set the color for the scroll bar slider in Firefox.

    • 9). Check the scroll bar colors in Firefox. You may need to make the Firefox window active before the color changes appear. Click "Close" if you're satisfied with your color choice in Linux.
