Why a Good View Helps to Inspire the Writer

They say that a very good scenic view will inspire the creative flow.
I believe this to be true, and I have some experience and observation to back this up, seeing as I have been writing on average about 8000 words per day or more for the last five years.
During much of that time, I was traveling around the country in a large motor coach, and I found that I could park any time I saw a really nice view, and as I took in the sights, I was inspired to write, and write I did.
Not long ago, I talked to a very good writer in Australia and she has a view of the waterfront, and a park in front of her high rise condo.
It's a wonderful view, and it shows in her work.
Of course, I had never known what type of view she had as a writer prior to that, I only knew that what she was writing was quite excellent.
It wasn't until I got to know her, that I realized it was the view that was helping to inspire her writing.
Interestingly enough, I also allow the view and setting to help me write.
A good view relaxes the soul, it puts you in a different state of mind, it makes you feel as though everything is okay.
You have no real desire to turn on the TV for visual stimulation, you don't need it, all you do is look out the window at the beautiful setting, and smile to yourself, and say; "life is good.
" It is at that point that a writer or author can get into and stay in the creative flow to write some of their best work.
If you are having trouble with writer's block, maybe you just need to change the view? Indeed, I hope you will please consider this, because it's helped me.
Think on it.
