Battleon Hints

    Purchasing Equipment

    • After a short tutorial, players are released into the game to explore the world, visit townsfolk and to battle monsters. Before beginning your battles, visit the merchants in town. Each character begins with 500 gold pieces that can be used to purchase item upgrades. There are a variety of items available to a beginning level character--consider purchasing a weapon, healing potions and a shield. Players also have the option of purchasing pets that can be summoned in battle to deal extra damage to enemies. Improving the items you start with will increase the likelihood of surviving the first battles in Adventure Quest.

    Battling Monsters

    • Until your character reaches level five, there is only one way to gain experience toward the next level: battling monsters. These initial battles are somewhat simple and players have the option of adventuring with a companion character that will fight along side you. Players will encounter monsters that are represented by magical elements. For instance, players may encounter a "Firezard," which represents the fire element. Using a weapon imbued with the fire element will have no effect against this creature and may cause its health to be restored. On the contrary, if you use water attacks on this creature, the damage you deal will be increased over using any other elemental attack. Prepare for any situation by carrying multiple types of weapons and armor in your inventory.

    Becoming a Guardian

    • Players can choose to upgrade free accounts to a Guardian account. The Guardian page at Battleon.com states that for a one time fee of $19.95 players will "get full access to all towns, areas, and quests, plus incredible bonuses like Guardian-only wars and events." Players who choose to upgrade will be able to purchase higher quality items than those with free accounts. While it is not required to purchase a Guardian account, if you enjoy the game and would like to experience all the available content, this may be an option to consider.
