We just returned from our vacation to Hawaii. My family stayed 2 nights at the Hawaiian Hilton, which was fabulous. We toured Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri and went to a luau at Paradise Cove, which was very entertaining. I was told that we should try Germaine's Luau next time.
We arrived on The Pride of Hawaii at 4:00 in the afternoon and didn't receive our luggage until 8:00 p.m. We were disappointed we couldn't use the pool or hot tub because we needed our swim suits.
Next, it was really a hassle making dinner reservations. You had to stand in line at 7:00 a.m. to make reservations for that night and only one more night. We ended up eating at the buffet a few nights because we were up early for our shore excursions and didn't have time to make reservations.
Finally, we asked to use a DVD player to watch a DVD which my daughter made for our 25th wedding anniversary and were charged $50 for this. I would definitely visit Hawaii again, but I would choose another cruise line the next time. The only time we had the chance to eat any seafood was at the specialty restaurant where you had to pay a cover charge of $20 per person. We were charged an extra $10 because we ordered lobster! I would definitely consider spending a few more days at sea and cruising on Princess or Royal Carribean in the future.
