How to Build an Easy Microwave Stand

    • 1). Squeeze a liberal amount of wood glue onto the top of the seat of the bar stool. Use the paintbrush to spread the glue evenly on the seat.

    • 2). Place butcher block on the seat of the barstool.

    • 3). Apply a clamp on each of the four sides of the butcher block. The clamps will firmly hold the butcher block in place on the bar stool while the wood glue dries.

    • 4). Allow the wood glue to dry for at least 24 hours prior to removing the clamps and using your new microwave stand.

    • 5). Remove the clamps. Paint the microwave stand if you desire. If you choose to do this, place newspaper or a tarp under the microwave stand in a well-ventilated area to protect the floor from the paint. Paint the smooth surfaces of the stand with a roller for smoothness and fill in the gaps with a brush.
