Mission Possible - Having A Baby At 40

Many women around the globe have one persistent question on their minds. Can I get pregnant?

There seems to be an over explosion of infertility around in both women and men these days. The mere notion that a woman would not be able to hold a baby in her arms could be devastating to her. She may have been dreaming of becoming a mother for years, thinking and planning ahead of all that she and her spouse would be doing with their child. Thinking about all the wonderful times that they were going to have, and about how proud they would be of their child. Not being able to conceive was not part of the dream, and has now turned into a nightmare.

Many couples have thrown in the towel so to speak at this time and given up. They start to consider the option of adoption, or of becoming foster parents. That motherly instinct is burning, yet there is no way to extinguish that flame of desire. Adoption and foster parenting are both noble alternatives yet there is still something different about conceiving one of your own from your own flesh and blood that leaves the other options lacking.

Getting pregnant shouldn't have to be so complicated and perhaps it isn't so complicated. If you have just an inkling of a belief in alternative and holistic methods, then perhaps there is a chance that you can become pregnant and give birth to your very own child.

The other alternatives are very costly. IVF and medical interventions which could cost you many thousands of dollars are not always as successful as the doctors at these clinics would have you believe. If you were smart, you would look to uncover any stone unturned in the natural method before going out on the limb to an expensive medical procedure that may not yield you any better results, and could possibly even cause you more hard than good.

It still is possible to become pregnant even if you are 40 years old or over. You can still get pregnant even if you suffer from endometriosis or ovarian cysts. The key word here is possible, not 100% guaranteed. But for the amount of the effort involved, it is certainly worth a shot trying if you really want to have a baby.

So how is it possible and what do you need to do? First, take a close look at your lifestyle and see what you are doing that may not be in the best interests of getting pregnant. Are you drinking, smoking, overweight, out of shape and eating garbage foods? This is not the proper way to treat your body for it to be in a ready position to carry a child. Are you under a lot of stress and strain, worrying about not being able to conceive? This too is not good. You need to be stress free and calm both emotionally and physically.

Are you timing your ovulations and checking with a basal thermometer to see when your body is at its most fertile moment? Are you being careful around household and other nasty chemicals that may be effecting your chances of becoming pregnant?

I could continue on but this is just to get your mind thinking in the right sort of direction. There is a whole lot that you can do to increase your chances of getting pregnant and having a baby, even if you are 40 years old or over. Don't chart a new map in this quest for motherhood. Follow a proven method used by moms all over the world that brought them their bundle of joy. Follow what has worked for these other mothers and give yourself the chance for you and your spouse to enjoy the challenges brought on by parenthood.
