Flowers, Dinner and a Bottle of...

Updated June 10, 2015.

I find out tomorrow whether I'm pregnant, but I have reason to believe I am. I've already planned the announcement for my husband and mom.
Tomorrow night I'll get my husband to take me out to dinner (should be easy, since it's his night to cook). I'll find a way to get the waiter alone, and slip him the mini baby bottle I bought today. I'm going to ask the waiter to fill it with beer (so it won't float) and put it in his glass when he gets a refill.

I'm going to send my mom flowers with a card that says "Congratulations, Grandmom" and no signature. Then, I just have to wait for her to call!

Help Wanted

Updated June 10, 2015.

My husband and I waited the three months to tell every one so we had plenty of time to decide how to do it. We made up 'wanted' ads advertistng for Grandparents and sent it to our parents and ones advertising for Aunties, Uncles and Cousins to send to our siblings and nieces and nephews. All of them were individual to the particular person and had the requirements listed for the position like 'possible babysitting opportunities' and 'availability for play dates' for the kids ones.

We added that the position would begin around the due date and to please contact my husband or I if they were interesed. The phone calls flooded in. As our bubby isn't the first on either side an announcement with a difference was a bit of fun.

Anyone notice anything different?

I'll be about 11 weeks along at Easter. I had an ultrasound done at 6 weeks so, I'm going to tape it on our family picture in the living room and wait to see who notices when the family is over for Easter dinner.

For Sale

Updated June 10, 2015.

This will be our second pregnancy. We have a 2.5 year old and I plan to have a shirt made for him to wear around at family events. It will be: A picture of a FOR SALE SIGN that reads: "My new baby sibling for Auction. Expected date of sale, July 26th"

Shopping List

Updated June 10, 2015.

I just found out I am pregnant yesterday and I've been thinking about how to tell my parents. I have decided to create a "shopping" list of bottles, bibs, sippy cups, diapers, etc... and give it to my parents in an envelope with the due date. I know my parents are going to be thrilled.

We just found out we are expecting our third child, due May 16, 2007. We wait until 12 weeks to share the news. With this child that falls on Halloween. I am going to dress up as an oven and when you open the door there will be a bun in it. Hopefully everyone understands our "bun in the oven" costume.

I just found out that I am pregnant, and am planning to tell my family on Mother's Day. Because we usually celebrate Mother's Day with a whole group, I'm just going to wear a shirt that says "Mommy to be" and my husband is wearing a shirt that has an outline of a pregnant woman that says "Look what I did!"

We are announcing our pregnancy around mother's days and have picture frames that have two holes for pictures. In one hole we are putting the ultrasound, and in the other we are putting a slip of paper that says "Happy Mother's Day Grandma, See you in November."
For my friends, I plan to e-mail them this rhyme:

Roses are red, violets are blue, someone's having a baby, can you guess who?

My husband and I just found out that we are having a baby. Since Father's day is a week and a half away, we already know how we're going to tell the family.
There is always a big Father's Day cook-out with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, mom, dad, etc. So when it come time for the gifts, we're going to give my father a gift.... A shirt that says "#1 Grandpa". I can't wait to see all of the reactions.

We found out we were pregnant a few weeks before Mother's Day. We decided to buy a pair of pink booties and a pair of blue booties. We wrapped a pink and blue bootie in one mother's day gift and another pink and blue bootie in the other. We have both mums open their gifts at the same time (we had them stand back to back so they couldn't peek at each other's gifts). It was great watching their reactions and having photos to remember it by.
