• Released in 2005 as an PC expansion for The Sims 2 game, the Maxis-developed Sims 2: Nightlife adds new locations, items, gameplay and character animations themed around creating a social life for Sims. As an expansion to The Sims 2, the Nightlife version requires the original game features and similar system requirements for proper PC operation.
  
  

Operating System

• The Sims 2: Nightlife requires a PC running a Windows operating system for proper operation. Vista, XP, ME, 98 and 2000 versions of Windows are all compatible operating systems with Nightlife. Both 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 are also compatible with the expansion.
  
  

Processor and Memory

• The Sims 2: Nightlife requires a processor featuring a speed of at least 1 GHz for proper operation. At least 256 MB of RAM, and a minimum of 1.5 GB of free hard drive space are necessary to install and play Nightlife.
  
  

Video Requirements

• The Sims 2: Nightlife supports many different types of video cards, with hardware transformation and lighting (T&L)-capable video cards featuring at least 32 MB of video RAM recommended. Cards such as the ATI Radeon series 8500 and above, as well as NVIDIA GeForce and Quadro cards are also supported. Video cards not supporting T&L capability require that the PC has a processor of at least 2.4 GHz to run Nightlife.
