- 1). Decide how small of holes you want in your net. If you are trying to catch a fish your holes will need to be much smaller then when you are trying to catch a man.
- 2). Measure out the distance that you need and mark them with the marker onto the rope. Lay out the ropes into a grid.
- 3). Knot your ropes together with a simple knot where the marks meet. Be sure to start with one corner and move onto the opposite in a diagonal pattern. Tie off the end of each rope with a final knot.
- 4). Wet the rope and tighten the knots as best you can by tugging on two opposite directions. This will keep it from falling apart during its first use. Allow it to dry in the sun.
