- 1). Remove foliage from a bunch of silk flowers, and wrap each individual stem with floral tape. Arrange the flowers as you create a compact ball according, to Better Homes and Gardens. Wrap the stems together with one strip of floral tape just below the flowers.
- 2). Arrange leaves around the outer edge of the flowers. Wrap all the stems into one large stem with floral tape.
- 3). Start wrapping ribbon around the top of the stems beneath the flowers, leaving 2 feet of excess ribbon on the left to use later in the bow. Pinch the ribbon as you start down the stem handle and overlap the ribbon to ensure a tight fit. Keep the ribbon flat with no twists or bulges.
- 4). Fold the ribbon over the bottom of the handle, and wrap the ribbon back up to the top by the flowers. Tie a big bow using the excess ribbon on the left. Anchor the bow with corsage pins, and trim excess ribbon.
