What Does Yom Kippur Mean For a Christian?

Yom Kippur, a Jewish Holiday.
How many Christians Honor this holiday as well? Think about it, Jesus was a Jew, he celebrated and worshiped these holidays.
As a Christian, we should as well.
Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement..
  It's fasting and prayer.
Asking God for forgiveness is something we should do on a regular basis with God.
Everyday we sin and should  ask God for the forgiveness.
That is what Jesus has taught us to do.
Can you say that you have done that? I know at times I am struggling.
I will continuously think about something someone has done and not let go of it.
That is when I start thinking that I must forgive that person and forgive myself and ask God for forgiveness and the strength to forgive.
My sister is a kind hearted person.
She doesn't get why I love God the way I do and pretty much thinks that I may be lost myself.
But actually God changed my heart when he gave me the Holy Spirit.
I atoned for my sins and asked Him to come into my life and He came in the the boldest way.
He gave me peace beyond understanding.
No more struggling in the mind but peace and a faithfulness that I never thought I could have.
God wants to give everyone this peace.
The Holy Spirit is there for your asking.
He makes Himself known in small encouraging ways.
To conclude is to say, I think Jewish or not, we need to celebrate this day and sacrifice this day to atonement.
It may just change you far beyond what you can imagine.
