Canyon Lake Vacation Rentals

    • Go boating in Canyon Lakeboating image by pearlguy from Fotolia.com

Known as the "Water Recreation Capital of Texas," Canyon Lake in Central Texas Hill Country was created in the 1960s from damming of the Guadalupe River. With 22 boat ramps and 80 miles of shoreline, the lake is a popular destination for fishing and boating. The nearby Guadalupe River is a good place for tubing and rafting. Renting a vacation home allows visitors more freedom and space than a traditional hotel room, while also allowing larger groups to stay together, saving on expenses.

    Hideout on the Horseshoe

    • At the Hideout you'll find 18 cabins on the Guadalupe River. The cabins accommodate from four to eight people and the amenities include a full-size refrigerator, microwave and television. The cabins also have a private bathroom and direct access to the river. If you have a large family event, there's also a pavilion that accommodates 80 people. Rates started at $129 per night as of March 2010.
