How to Troubleshoot a Glo Warm Propane Heater
- 1). Make sure there's a regulator fitted on the device. It's disc-shaped and will be inline between the propane supply tank and the heater. There should be a little vent pointing down that protects it from rain. If there isn't---have one fitted by a gas installer.
- 2). Press the control knob in fully and keep it pressed for 30 seconds when lighting the heater if the pilot lights but the flame goes out when the control knob is released. If the safety interlock system gets triggered, you will need to wait for a minute before trying again.
- 3). Allow the Glo Warm heater to run for a few hours to alleviate any slight smoke or odor. This is residue from the manufacturing process.
- 4). Ventilate the room if the heater produces unwanted odors. A low propane supply can also create odors.
- 5). Turn the control knob to position 1 and allow the heater to warm up for a minute if you get a whistling noise from the burner. It may be caused by turning the control knob to a high position too quickly when cold, or else air may be in the gas line.
- 6). Increase the ventilation air if you notice moisture and condensation on any windows. Refer to the user guide for ventilation requirements.
